Scotty has been making videos for as long as he can remember. Growing up an hour outside Chicago, Illinois, he would spend countless hours making movies with his family and friends.

Scotty got his professional start after graduating with a Bachelor’s degree in digital filmmaking from the University of Colorado. He has a diverse set of experience in different mediums, having professional experience on sets of short films, documentaries, television programs and has edited for big-name YouTube channels, short narrative and documentary films, social content for various influential organizations, and more.

He currently works as a full-time video editor at Rate in Chicago, where he creates social media marketing content for various campaigns at the company and its subsidiary brands, as well as freelances for clients such as GameRant, Area Code Audio, Luvvli, and other brands and organizations. He also has a number of personal projects he runs, such as the audio drama Crestfall and the podcast Eventide Radio.

When not working on expanding his portfolio and honing his craft, he loves to hike, rock climb, play board games with friends, and spend time with his girlfriend Ainsley and her cat, Bear.
